2025 Water Rate Increase

Dear Resident (or Water Consumer),

This notice is to inform you of the new rate for water services that will go into effect for the January 2025 usage. The rates are expected to increase the monthly utility bill for the average household usage of 6,238 gallons per month which will see an increase by about $2.03 inside town limits and $2.43 outside town limits per month. If individual household usage is less then there will be less of an increase and if the usage is more then there will be more of an increase reflected on the bill.

As utility costs throughout the industry continue to rise, the Town Board is committed to managing those costs and staying efficient while upholding the Town’s commitment to a sustainable future. These rate adjustments will help ensure the quality, reliability and affordability of basic water services. These changes also support the Town Board’s commitment to continue to improve the water distribution system. To help promote conservation efforts, the Town will be continuing the water volume tier structure for customers that will incentivize those who choose to reduce their water consumption. No other revenues fund water services except those recovered through monthly water bills. The 2025 rate adjustments are based on 4.5% increase to the base fee and water usage.

The new rates include a $0.50 per month increase to the Capital Improvement Fee.
