Subject: CodeRED All Call Scheduled for December 18th
Good afternoon,
Each year Delta County tests its CodeRED Emergency Alert System by conducting a county-wide "All Call". This year, we are partnering with Montrose and Ouray Counties and conducting our All Call on Wednesday, December 18th between 6pm and 8 pm. The goal is to reach the most number of residents at home as possible and stress the system by sending it to three counties.
During this once a year exercise, Emergency Management and Dispatch will send a message to all residents registered in Delta County. Residents and businesses with traditional landlines, registered cell phones and voice over IP (Spectrum/Elevate Internet) will receive a phone call between 6 pm and 8 pm on December 18th. In addition, citizens and business owners who have registered with CodeRED to receive text and email alerts will also receive messages via those routes as well.
Information will be shared on Emergency Management's Facebook page this week and next about the upcoming test and ads will run in both the Delta County Independent and High Country Shopper advising of the test and encouraging people to register with CodeRED. A joint press release from Delta County, Montrose County and Ouray county will also be published in local papers.
As each municipality is a partner in CodeRED, Call results and statistics will be shared with each jurisdiction after the data is compiled by OnSolve.
