May 2013 Student of the Month: Makayla Darnall

The Town of Orchard City's May 2013 Student of the Month is Cedaredge High School student, Makayla Darnall.  She plans to attend Colorado Mesa University in the fall of 2013 to study psychology with a focus in addiction counseling.  She intends to work at a rehabilitation center, after graduation, with an ultimate goal of one opening her own center.  Having been an honor roll student since kindergarten, Makayla has received 3 Outstanding Science Kid Awards and been the recipient of of the CSAP High Achievement Award in the 8th, 9th & 10th grades.  She has maintained her high academic standards while working at Dairy Queen since 2011 in addition to working at RV Horizons since January of this year.  Congratulations, Makayla!
